I've had such a bad run with all things electronic that it is making me depressed.

Firstly about two weeks ago I bought a Vantec Nexstar 3 2.5" HDD enclosure that was behaving badly when using eSata. The drive would just stop responding and IO would just freeze. So I took the enclosure back and now I'm being told that it can take 3-4 weeks to have it tested and replaced? Is this acceptable these days?

Next I upgraded my motherboard/cpu/ram last night only to find out that my new mb's onboard lan is not working. Windows is not picking it up at all. No unknown device or anything like that. Light does not even come on when I plug in a network cable. So now I have to undo my pc and take in the motherboard and potentially also wait 3-4 weeks for it to be replaced...?! The motherboards is a Asrock Z77 Extreme 6.

Lastly my HTPC's power supply decided to die last night. It's the Antec New Solution NSK2480 case that comes with a power supply. Now I'm really hoping that I can just remove the power supply and have them replace that since it seems Antec gives a three year warranty. If they insist on taking back the whole case I'm screwed again because then I need to take this machine apart as well...:( And then again wait for who knows how long...

Anyway hope you guys are having a better week than me.

Ja that is one thing about suppliers nowadays, you have to make sure of their return policies before purchasing something. I had a similar problem in last year and since then have made sure that they get me replacements as soon as possible...and remember, the festive season is approaching and with that comes a lack of working

Sorry for the ignorance, but you have installed LAN drivers from the disk correct?

Yes I tried everything. Luckily the shop I bought from had more stock of the MB and I went there to have it replaced. Working 100% now. Anyway just an update on my HTPC psu. I purchased a new psu but when I installed it the ATX connector cable was about 1 cm too short...After a few curses and a cut thumb I extended the connector with some flex I had lying around and now my HTPC is humming again. Whoop!

Now I just need to get the blown psu replaced.
