My Pc is down....:(
Here's the problem

Pc Restarts after a while without any warnings...

Sometimes shows this error
Page fault in non page error or win32k.sys error

I Flash the HDD and clean install Xp but same error

Is it the Power Supply?...

Edit: My PC temp is normal

Done, still going off..... and show error above.
I suspect its the power supply...
Must I give a shot?

what did you use for the memory test?

It could be the power supply. What is the wattage and how old is it?

Could be PSU, but could also be RAM or a failing hard drive. Sorry to sound so silly, but you've got a bit of troubleshooting ahead of you.

300Watts and 3years old

Here the PC ...
1 gig ram
6600 geforce 256mb
celeron 2.66
DVD-rom
and 160gig HDD

worked fine for a year until ESkom power cut happen:mad:

Me tested RAm already... could not really test the Motherboard:p and processor

I have bought thousands of PSUs from Matrix (I have an account at their head office) and I have never had a problem with them... other than normal operating life. Any bad uns I got, they swapped out for me no problemo.

Thanks, what better for my PC

400watts > R199
500watts > R299

Ja, always go as high as you can... you never know when you are going to add another hard drive or DVD drive.

I brought my bro this for his OC'ed P4 and 7950GT

I never heard of zika before...but superchannel is a middle classed brand in Taiwan...their 850w modular on the prophecy website has quite the amp power

looks great but hard to get and return.
Matrixs is only a KM away from my House.
Incase theres a problem and I can always return.

True I guess :D

When u get it can u post the amp rating of the psu? I'm interested to find out :)

Matric also has they own brand for R250, 400Watts not sure about the amp rating

What amp rating must I look for?

Mostly the 12V+ rating (cpu and graphics card uses this), the higher the better

A friend of mine brought this 450w psu with only 10amps on the 12V+...the rest of the watt came from the 48amps on 5V(pci cards and usb devices will never use that much) and 33amps on 3.3V...it blew very quickly

So yeah, higher 12V+ the better :)

Superchannel 500w has 31amps on 12V+, the 850w modular "claims" to have almost 100amps...
Isonic megapower 500w has 29amps etc
Coolermaster extreme 460w has 36amps (high quality and so more expensive)

Look for the 12V+ for me on the Zika so I can add it to my "cheepo" list :D

To be honest I never buy less than 500 watts these days. But for your specs the 400 watt should be fine. For long term upgradeablility though I would get the 500 or 550 watt.

They have an unlimited power supply for about 2 Grand :D
