R6 500 – 7 500 p.m.

What do you need to know to get this job?

• Matric, IT Technical Training (Minimum A+) and 2 years IT technical experience
• Windows 2012 Server and SQL experience
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player
• Very good technical knowledge and skills
• A valid driver's license and own transport
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English

What will I do every day?

• Responsible for the functioning and growth of the Hardware Division;
• All Microsoft Windows troubleshooting and installation;
• Microsoft Office troubleshooting and installation;
• Miscellaneous software troubleshooting and installation e.g. Pastel, Banking Software and all applications;
• Installing and maintenance of cable and wireless networks;
• Setting up network protocols and troubleshooting network errors;
• Installing protection against viruses and removing virus infections;
• Setting up and administering backups and server;
• Hardware troubleshooting;
• Setup and Troubleshoot of DSL and Wireless Internet;
• Setup and Troubleshoot of Printers, local and networked;
• Planning of Networks and backup Systems;
• Maintenance of in-house and classroom computer systems;
• Check weekly that office backups were made according to backup document plan;
• Manage all quotes and orders as requested by clients;
• Capturing of all hours worked on Excel;
• Assist with hardware installations (when required).
• Making sure of prices before quoting;
• Computer quotes must have specs clearly stated;
• Computers being sold will be invoiced by you and booked out. The hardware will be test by you beforehand and ready to be taken out;
• You must see that the computers are ready in classroom for when there are courses;
• To assist with related functions required to perform the above tasks;
• To perform any other reasonable duties as directed by Management;
• To be available to work overtime at the request of Management;
• To assist with special projects;
• Ensure that the confidentiality of all clients’ data is maintained at all times.

So you basically want a desktop support techie and a network field engineer? as per:

+ Installing and maintenance of cable and wireless networks;
+ Setting up network protocols and troubleshooting network errors;
+ Setup and Troubleshoot of DSL and Wireless Internet;
+ Planning of Networks and backup Systems;

for R7500?

R7500 is ridiculous.
