I just bought one second hand - took an hour to setup - but works great... I have now tossed all five remotes in the cupboard, and will be using just this one.

To watch live TV - I push Watch Live TV, it turns on the amp, switches to the right input, switches on the TV, switches to the right input, turns on the media center, and goes to Live TV

... same for recorded TV.

...DVD, it also changes the TV's colour profile to cinema.

...Music the same... so cool!

I've read a few negative reviews, and seen a few people have had issues - but works 100% with my setup - only problem is its a bit slow for me being in IT, and knowing I can turn everything on in 5 seconds :p

Hi, glad to hear! I have the Harmony One. It didn't want to install on voda hsdpa, but downloaded perfectly over adsl. I like the single touch for switching on all 4 devices...

And of course one must know that the brand for the dstv decoder (I have the simple new dsd-1110 one) as "UEC" or something (it's manufactured by Altech UEC).

Enjoy...

Sounds really cool. But that's just about as lazy as lazy gets.

LOL - I like simplicity - I don't want 6x remotes lying around the TV, and when I want to watch a DVD, turn the TV on, then find the amp remote, turn it on and to the right setting... etc....

I've now set this one up that if I push "Watch Sport" - it turns everything on, sets the amp. to multiple stereo - tv colour profile to sport, and changes to Supersport 1....

Same for movies - really cool - when I move I'm going to let it dim the lights as well....

Thanks for posting this - I have the (now rather dated) 'Chameleon' universal remote and I have been itching to upgrade. The Sony is a bit pricey and frankly rather ugly and I saw the Harmony around - it's always nice to hear a review from someone in the same country so you have assurance of the level of compatibility with things like DSTV decoders.

I now just need to find accessories - I need the PS3 adapter, and RF Extender so I don't need line of site... its a bit annoying pointing this thing in the direction of the components...

sight. (Check out my grammar/spelling Nazi red pen!)

That is a great idea - I find that DVD/game boxes tend to pile up in front of the IR sensors... please update this thread when you find one.
