Has Digichilli Launched?

Can anyone comment or give feedback on the Digichilli launch today?

I can only sign up from 1 Jan 2010 as I currently use 2 other ISP`s so I am quite interested in feedback.

Thank You

No, the chilli is still being dangled in front of our noses.

Wonder how long before we start loosing interest?

This site is down for maintenance. Please check back again soon.

Sigh I wanted to be online by now :P

Network Update

Network Update.

Makhula Chilli is still not happy. He is slightly mad.

Darn. It takes a lot to make that chilli happy.

We have not resolved an upstream issue as yet, but have people assessing, testing and hopefully addressing the problem. And yet other people are making other fixit plans too.

We expect to release more info to customers directly very soon.

Thanking your for your chilli support.

Requested sticky for your post Dave... not sure if it's possible? Thread yes, post... hmmm will see

Guys,

I'm gonna have to change my sig in 2 minutes. But as Churchill said: "We will never surrender".

We've posted some pics on Facebook with our guys in the office. They've been there 24/7 for a week. You'll even see the camp bed and cooler box that has kept us going. Oh, and some of the beers too. I think we should get a sponsorship from Vida Cafe and Windhoek.

We appreciate all the feedback and even criticism as it helps us understand what some of our issues are as well as a lot of other info about people out there.

We've disclosed as much as is possible on the issues we have to resolve for this to be a good service. Prudence limits what we say in this forum as issues are used against us by others.

We have been lacking in our communication to our users and potential users but will strive to become better at this. We will also provide the mechanisms whereby we are not as exposed as we are here, by moving it to an environment under our control. We adopted the 'open' approach as that is how we work, but it doesn't always work.

As a personal note, I'm surprised by the obvious 'hate mail' but in retrospect we are probably quite threatening to some of the other guys in the market.

I've publicly said that I admire and respect Afrihost, Axxess and WebAfrica. I don't have much experience of others so am not qualified to say, besides the obvious big baddies whom I try not to bash.

Once again, thanks to all out there.

I'll go change my sig now.

See you tomorrow. We'll be here. We ain't going anywhere unless its Cambodia.

Had to work overnight (Network Tech - though it's expected to happen from time to time in that field) not too long ago myself.........was pooped enough from that so 24/7 for a week is something I can't really even imagine.

Kudos to you for admitting your communication missteps Dave, here's hoping you guys keep the communication flowing until launch....and double hoping that launch is asap.

Uncapped ADSL at R300 pm is a dream come true .

Whatever the problems I am sure it will be sorted out.

Whether you launch today or next week - does it really matter? As long as you provide the service as advertised once launched.

I am excited about these changes and very happy that from the end of this month I can download, Skype and surf without worrying about bandwidth.

Thank you for being honest - no need to hide from anyone - in the end the public will vote with their money.

PS. Why is it that South Africans seem to thrive on other`s mistakes and failures?

Chillies are hard at work, like seven dwarves. We'll update you to status as soon as possible.

That excuse would have had so much more impact if it hasn't been used so many times before without results.

Guys just give them time, I think it will be easier for them to fix problems now than after the launch so give them some time to fix it and there will be less need to complain after the launch ;)

I'm not feeling the hotness here. It would have been nice if they at least said on their website that the launch has been delayed as they are still busy finalising things.

Spam Folder

Hi All,

Mails with an update are busy going out. This can take some time.

Our mails are also landing in some people's spam folder. This is probably due to it coming from a Google.com domain.

Please check this on your system.

Thanx
