Has the (ISC)2 has lost the integrity plot (KPMG hosting SecureJohannesburg)?

@(ISC)2, I've journeyed with you since 2003, when I achieved my CISSP certification.
Your lame excuse to host the SecureJohannesburg conference at KPMG is a slap in the face for the masses of people who marched and demonstrated against state capture. It is a disgrace that this organisation have no regard for the accounting and auditing professionals who've been hounded out of their jobs because of KPMG's fake report. This very same report was used as the basis to prosecute our former Finance Minister, cast aspersions on his character and subsequently to fire him as FM.
The response by Adrian Davis, MBA, FBCS CITP, CISSP to the concerns raised about the (ISC)2 associating with KPMG SA is wholly inadequate, insensitive and lacking of an understanding of our challenges. All I remember from that response is that KPMG has given (ISC)2 enough money to buy their loyalty. I believe that (ISC)2 is more interested in protecting their corporate sponsors and the brotherhood, rather than living its own values and engaging their members on issues that affect them.
I have learnt that one's integrity is one's most valuable asset. For this reason do I renounce my CISSP certification. I'll find myself a professional home where integrity still counts for something.

Well seems like he feels reaaly stong against corruption - that I agree with.

Just feel that it is strange he feels so strong that he renounces his cert because a free conference is held at the KPMG offices but everyday he goes to work at Eskom.

what would he have done if he was employed at KPMG, would he have resigned? If so he should then treat Eskom the same as they are just as corrupt if not more.

Well done, I love the smell of a principled man telling his professional certification org to kindly go **** itself in the morning!

Maybe if more people took this kinda stand we could still save this country..

A paradox indeed
