Can't get to any WA sites or our email server hosted by them. Anyone else noticing this ?

Fritz

BTW That's using two independent connections - WA ADSL account and Cell C 3G.

Main site is back up and admin console, but not our email server yet.

Can the guys who have had issues please PM me the following info:

  • Client Code
  • Domain name that had experienced the issue
  • Estimated time of the outage

I'll see if I can trend something and have it passed onto our NOC guys for a full investigation.

Hi Jeff,

Currently experiencing the same issues as last week monday the 27th of june. Local sites don't seem to load or load extremely slow (international sites are fine) sites like mybroadband.co.za and moneyweb.co.za hardly load. Spoke to one of your helpdesk support, but hey say there is no problem. wanted to send a pn, but imposible due to slow loading

PM'd you Jeff. About to log a call as well.

EDIT

Damn, I can't even get to the WA site.

Wow ... 10 minutes waiting 1st in line.

EDIT

Okay, so finally spoke to Geffen(?). He refreshed my account. Some sites are now working, but the majority not. He advised to wait a few minutes. Will give feedback shortly.

Same problem here

So I spoke to Geffen again. Apparently there is an issue on their side that they fixed but it occurred again. Apparently all WA will get sms's when the issue is solved.. Well, over to my trusty FNB bandwidth for now.

These problems are getting frustrating and are occuring with alarming frequency. What is the problem?

Having issues locally, cant even get to WA website its so slow.

Spoke to them again. They admit there is a problem, but they're not sure that it's them ... 5 hours later and they still don't have a clue? Disappointing. Downloading at a fast 15kB/s on a 7Mbit line.

WAJeff, I hope you give us some feedback soon.

This is pathetic - can not even listen to a 64 kbps streaming audio without buffering. Trying to get thru to support is a waste - your are caller number 3.

Come on WA by now this should have been sorted, and in fact all that has happened is that it is getting worse :(

I'm experiencing the same problems this evening.

I received this SAIX Network alert about an hour ago; I assume it's related to WA's problem:

I can confirm that we did experience speed problems on our dsl network. This problem is however now resolved and speeds should be back to normal. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
