Can anyone suggest 2 dvd screen player things for the back of the headrestS? going on a long road trip and my kids will be better entertained during the trip with these. Also, have no massive budget, so keep in mind. I have seen a sinotech set at Makro and a Sansui set at hificorp. Any experiences with these? Oh, and what formats do they play?

I also looked at purchasing a headrest DVD player for the little one and decided it was a waste of money compared to tablets.
There are plenty of tablets in the R1000 to R1600 range which will do a lot more than just play DVD's like load kids games, educational apps, etc.
Just rip the DVDs and load them on a tablet and you never have to worry about scratched or lost DVDs or CDs ever again.

Good Idea, but i have 2 girls, so that would be more than the 2 screens. But wont write your idea off, its a good one.

My mate has on for his kid and I 'think' it can output to two screens but both will be displaying the same movie.

We have the sinotec from Makro. Haven't used it much yet, so cannot comment on formats. Only downside so far is that the sound was very soft from a dvd. While it is a good thing that the driver does not need to listen to it, it might be a problem if the kids cannot hear. Will be testing it next weekend when we drive up to Jhb.
