You can do this on just about any Android phone...yip and a customer was bragging today about how easy it is to sideload unknown apps onto his Hauwei ,origins unknown and a huge security risk .
yes you can i agree ,but most are tested and approved on play store .sideloading opens the phone up to lots of unknowns especially if you have banking apps on your phone .You can do this on just about any Android phone...
I love my Mate 50 Pro, but without Google services, you do need to tinker around a bit to get things working happily - MicroG, Gspace, etc. It works for me, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone not prepared to fiddle a bit. What Brand of phones are you guys using? I'm deciding to get the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and don't want these kind of troubles. Thanks
Honor is Huawei with GMS.What Brand of phones are you guys using? I'm deciding to get the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and don't want these kind of troubles. Thanks
I've been to Telkom and saw that Youtube, Maps etc are preloaded on the display phones. Do you have to log into each app separately and does it stay logged in when you exit the app? How do you mean you have to fiddle? I'm quite clued up with tech, but need to know if my Maps, Capitec and Youtube accounts will still sync if I'm logged into each of the google apps. What functions don't work on the apps that need to be side loaded?I love my Mate 50 Pro, but without Google services, you do need to tinker around a bit to get things working happily - MicroG, Gspace, etc. It works for me, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone not prepared to fiddle a bit
Yes, but Telkom doesn't have the Magic4 Pro. I'm looking at high end phones and at Telkom there is basically only Samsung S23 Ultra, S23+ and the Mate 50 Pro. That's just my take on it.Honor is Huawei with GMS.
To be honest, I can't speak too much on the actual Google apps. I use Waze for nav, but Google Maps seems to work fine too, but I can't seem to sign in. Works fine in Gspace though, as does Youtube. Gspace is a virtual environment with Google service, lets most apps run just fine.I've been to Telkom and saw that Youtube, Maps etc are preloaded on the display phones. Thank you, so as long as I'm running Maps and Youtube in Gspace I can sign in and sync?To be honest, I can't speak too much on the actual Google apps. Yes, that's also what I hear people are complaining about. I have only 2 weeks left to decide between Huawei and Samsung Our son wants my P20 ProAndroid Auto and McDonalds don't work on Huawei.
McDonald's thinks there's a security issue with the device, and it's not Google verified. Tsk. Not good dev work there.Android Auto and McDonalds don't work on Huawei.
