Looking for a connection/ wire to power a router direct from my battery ?
Currently runs through a small inverter during load sheds but want to go direct onto 12 volt instead.

Out of interest, what output does the PSU of your router have? Might not be viable to directly connect it to a 12V battery

I did this with my b315 runs of a car battery. I snipped the connector off a old PSU for a radio it fits 100% then I just made some clamps for the car battery

Mine looks like this

I just removed the car side part

I found a lead exactly like that with an L shaped plug for router side. Seems to fit snugly into router. How do I know pos and neg if I buy croc clips to solder on?

let me double check but I used a multi meter so normaly inside is + and the outside jacket is -

Thanks guys, seems I'm ok. Found a female cig lighter fitting which can be wired to battery. Inside is plus. No need for croc clips just go directly in with the cable then into router.
