Hauwei P10 Lite Dual sim missing

I bought a boxed P10 Lite for the dual sim capabilities, but when I insert second sim, there is no recognition that a second was inserted and also there is no settings anywhere that I can find. This is vodcaom branded phone, so I thought perhaps they locked the second sim slot. If so, how can I unlock it?

From personal experience, the P10 lite that Vodacom sells is the single sim version. Mtn and Telkom sell the dual sim version

The physical ability is there. How to enable it. Vodacrap obviously blocked it with a custom rom or something

I think the hardware is different. Huawei made a single sim version and a dual sim version. You most likely have the single sim version, therefore it isn't physically capable of using 2 Sims

Yeah, most phones that have dual SIM also have a single SIM version.

Unfortunately so, I also got trapped by by Vodacom a year ago with the P10 lite. Best thing you can do is probably sell it and buy another from a different retailer that stocks the dual sim version

Yeah, I got the K10 2017, South Africa is the only version without NFC so I'm forced to keep my old phone charged which has it, instead of giving it away to a friend.
