HAVA platinum HD

Looked at this device a while back where the reviewer recorded SAT tv.

do you think this will record DSTV.
Comes with component and composite.
No hdmi so only stereo, I think.

No HDMI means no HD or 5.1 sound....

But other than that, don't see why it won't work.
