Has anything been sent to the big kahuna's at Telkom yet? We have all be crying to ICASA, and we all know how brilliant they are! So why not approach Telkom directly.... oh yes, you will be put on hold and listen to crappy music for half an hour, only to come out at the vechicle repair department.

Its worth a shot.

Awesome idea - 5 thumbs up.
I think though that RPM has been making inroads with telkom by bridging the communication divide so to speak. I mean meeting the new CEO was a huge win.
But a written complaint from every active member might go a long way to catalyse what RPM is saying.

HOWEVER we dont want to upset or tip the apple cart on what RPM and Antowan have achieved so perhaps we should get their take on this before we do anything?
Antowan? RPM - what do you think?

I dont think you can comlain that much if you can change providers...you dont have to use SAIX

it's the principle of the thing. the cable which saix uses for international bandwidth belongs to taxpayers, i.e. the country's inhabitants. so technically it belongs to us. why should telkom have sole control over it and then have the nerve to dictate prices & rules regarding this cable. it's not a matter of simply moving to IS based providers, the point is there should be providers having equal access to this cable that would enable us to choose the best option available to us. if we still aren't satisfied then we have an option of moving over to IS. we shouldn't just sit back with KY jelly in our hands and accept whats coming to us
