Have XP, Get Win7 or wait for Win8?

EDIT: @OP: Don't take this Hamster guys advice, rather stay with XP than go ME ( ). My advice, go Windows 7..... or even beter, go Linux.

Well, you were the one that said only every third Windows release was any good, so if we go with what you are saying Win Me was awesome, XP sucked, Vista sucked and Windows 7 is awesome.

Unless of course you know of a windows release between XP and Vista, in which case I offer my sincerest apologies.

I've been using Win8 CP for two weeks now and I don't miss 7 at all. The metro interface is basically just your start button with icons instead of writing.

IF your hardware is up to date i would purchase Windows 7. Nice upgrade from XP and you'll probably find your system will run a ton faster given that you have a fairly recent system. Don't bother waiting for windows 8.

Using windows 8 on a PC made me want to cry, but I want windows 8 RT for a tablet so everything can work together just like carrying a touch screen laptop around with you?

okay , you could wait for windows 8, but its only going to work on like kickass computers. i would go for windows 7 starter as its 100 x better than crap XP! just load it then fire up DriverPack Solution 11 R166W & Drivers Installer Assistant. Installes all the drivers needed for your older computer automaticly into win7. then just reboot ans problem is solved. msg me for more help.
