Lol
I drove into sandton on the first day of the hard lock down (we had some essential peeps in the office who had no way of getting lunch as the canteen was closed, as we're all the takeaways in the area, so I dropped off a bunch of contraband woollies roast chickens). It was eerie as hell seeing that place so deserted.
I get PTSD from thinking back to how quiet things were during hard lockdown. Also had some essential work to do and it was just eerie like you said. I did NOT like it. Wondered if 3 years from then it would start getting overgrown and just the odd humans running around scrounging for food lol. I was not in good place :)

There is no loadshedding at the office park thanks to a diesel generator in the basement.
Our lease is probably going to go up a wee bit to cover this expense for the next few years.

Never left, already took 5 weeks leave last year, min. paid leave based on the law here, still have another week rolled over since WFH meant I could travel around, hang out with family without having to and still getting all my work done.

Only took 3 days. Still WFH, and probably going back to the 2 days in the office thing toward the end of the month. Not sure how long that's (2 days in office) gonna go on for.

Returned to work. Not to any office as I work for myself and work from home.

I am lucky enough to work hybrid mode - work at the office some days, and for important meetings and face-to-face team meetings. MS Teams is great for productivity!
