Just wanted to share a great photography site called 500px.com. It is a great source of inspiration with thousands of amazing photos from around the world. Its also a really great place to build a profile and display your photos, with a built in store (you can make $ selling you pics through the site). The community seems really awesome too.

Love it! I have the app on my tablets and access it every day almost. Incredibly good photos there.
 
This is me.

I upload most of my stuff there, as well as on Flickr, but I'm not too active on these sites. If you don't actively comment on other peoples work, you obviously don't get much attention either...

I check 500px out every day on my Ipad through Flipboard. Awesome site!

Yeah that does seem to happen, you get a lot of activity if you upload new pics or comment on other peoples work. I guess that is the main way to explore or discover new pics/people.

There are a couple of other good sites along the same (well kind of) sorts of lines.

These include www.pixoto.com and www.redbubble.com

Then of course there are the local crews - outdoorphoto and so on...

I just love the sharing and help that folks are prepared to give - offering advice and constructive criticism.
