So 30min after supper last night I started to get stomach cramps, went to bed but whichever way I lay down, this cramping in my stomach persisted.

This morning it's not so bad but there's still a slight irritation in my lower abs/stomach.

Thinking it's the appendix as i need to see a doc soon?
what's recovery time for this?

Appendix problems feel rather different to stomach cramps, the last I experienced them at least. Appendix issues kinda feel like something inside of you has developed teeth and is clamping down hard, like an intense spasm.

See a doc asap though. If it is an appendix issue then the last thing you want to be is nonchalant about it. It can burst and you can be dead within hours if not properly dealt with...

True.

Strange that it kicked in after eating chicken and rice for supper, at first I thought the wife has used coconut milk in the chicken recipe as that has made me sick in the past.

Damn I hate hospitals.

Not necessarily strange. It could have kicked in after eating pumpkin and used tissues for all you know...:D

Get it checked out. I believe these days they are removing them endoscopicly so it's not as invasive and you have less or a scar and hospital time. If it does burst they have to cut you open to get it out as soon as possible as waiting can lead to septicemia and you sure as hell don't want that.

If it is your appendix you will know about it. I could hardly walk...had cold chills...fever and was vomiting. Mine was acute though.

Had a ruptured appendix ten years ago. Was in hospital a week. NOT FUN.

I went to my GP with stomach cramps like that - on the same side. She immediately recommended a appendectomy.
The surgeon she normally sends her consults to was unavailable, so I took my case to a surgeon I know.
He looked at my symptoms, had me give him a urine sample, and sent me home with antibiotics for my kidney infection.

Don't wait - have it checked out. It might not be appendicitis. If you are lucky it won't be something serious.
But have it checked out.

2-3 days. You'll have a cool scar at least.

Not anymore, had mine removed by means of micro surgery. Only left 3 scars, each about a 10mm in length.

They can only be noticed if you know about them and if you look very carefully.

So you ate something that upset your stomach and now think it's appendicitis. :wtf: If really bad should probably have it checked out but it's in all likelihood not.

Operation is a simple one nowadays. They just make a 1 inch cut and do the actual operation outside your body.

It'll always be a sharp pain on the lower right side. Just ask for good drugs and when it bursts ask for better drugs. The really good stuff.

Well its improving. Could be a blockage in the intestine or grumbling appendix. If it was acute youd know all about it.

Have not been to see a doc yet, was going to go this morning if it felt worse.

Feels like any ordinary day now, I can still feel slight tingling if I try to pickup something very heavy but nothing like wednesday night which was constant irritating pain exactly like I feel when I run and get a cramp so it's getting better.
