Welcome to myBB !

619 is usually bad username and or password

Try to retype it... case sensitive and correct structure required.

if not - can you ping your router ? (start->cmd->ping 192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.2)

what i would try next is to try and delete your PPPOE shortcut , and recreate it..

using XP/VISTA? just make a new PPPOE connection - can also try the telkom guest account - guest@telkomadsl with guest as password (might be guest1)

on the point of the password ******** showing longer - thats correct - its called masking. older operating systems had the exact 1:1 character:*
