Hi all

I have a dlink dsl-504t router that i want to setup to use two accounts. (openweb for local and wa for int)

What about the vci/vpi settings? if i use 8/35 i can connect normally using the router, or if i put the router in bride mode (using the same 8/35 settings) it also works.

But how to i connect both at the same time? The default setting for the extra connections is 0/36 0/37 etc. is this right or must this bechanged? if so to what?

Cheers

So let me get this right, you can actually have your router logon with TWO accounts, and route local bandwidth via say a OpenWeb account, and international via TelkomInternet account?

Well you can do that using seom linux trickery, but im not fully upto speed on that.

For the moment i use want to use wa for all the pcs on the network to browse int/local and use one pc to use the local openweb account.

AFAIK you dont need to change any of you VCI or VPI settings, well I havent and it's working for me.

Have you had a look at ant1b0dy's RouteSentry?

If you setup two PPPoE connections using RASPPPoE, you can setup RouteSentry to send all international traffic through the one account and all local traffic through the other, might be useful for you ;)

I'm just not sure where these settings are you're talking about...

In my setup all I did was put the router into bridged mode and created my PPPoE sessions with ether windows or RASPPPoE, and they worked first time.

you can also do it with windows mapping, i used to do this for Battlefield 2, with 2 x 3gb telkom accounts. Used the one account to auth international and the 2nd account i would rape (since there was no local hardcap).

This is what we would recommend. Most routers do not have the ability to use multiple logins on the router itself.

You would then use the "ROUTE" command in windows to specify which traffic goes where.
