Eyewitness News has learnt that an explosive telephone conversation has exposed senior Hawks officials in a conspiracy to implicate suspended Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) head Robert McBride in altering the so-called Zimbabwe rendition report.

A transcript shows details of a call between a Hawks colonel and the former head of the watchdog’s Limpopo office, Innocent Khuba.

Khuba was fired last week for signing an affidavit stating that McBride played no part in altering the report to exonerate the implicated Hawks officials.

But Ipid management claimed that the statement was contradictory to the terms of a plea agreement he had reached days earlier with the employer where he pleaded guilty to dishonesty.

Another ANC success story. Corruption everywhere.
And we already know that McBride is no saint himself.
I don't trust him one bit.

McBride is a convicted terrorist and murderer. The fact that he is not sitting in jail for the rest of his life is astonishing enough. The fact that he has been the head of several police departments and organisations is absolutely mind blowing.

Look he is definitely dodgy but these illegal immigrants that come here are murderers and rapists and imo they must be shipped back home with whatever means we have

I agree... but because of his past, nobody can tell if he is the innocent party here or not.

In an exclusive interview with Eyewitness News Robert McBride has said that the truth will finally be revealed following a second affidavit making it clear that he played no part in altering the so-called Zimbabwe rendition report.

Eyewitness News reports that senior Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) investigator Innocent Khuba pleaded guilty to dishonesty and defeating the ends of justice by altering the report.

McBride joins Xolani Gwala on Afternoon Drive to tell his side of the story - watch the interview LIVE in studio @ 5.10pm below:

McBride and one Matthews Sesoko are accused of altering a rendition report to exonerate former senior Hawks officials Anwa Dramat and Shadrack Sibiya.

The pair were accused of orchestrating the arrest and rendition of five Zimbabwean suspects in 2010.

It's not always about only "Who you know" but also "What you know"................., Ask Zumatello.

light xenophobia with a dash of diplomacy. :p

Nope. If you can't apply legally and go through the process then leave.
If you have a criminal record from your country then no entry

Your previous post just reminded me of the Trump/Zuma comparison Trevor Noah made on the daily show!
