If you suspect someone of hacking COD4 online, how can you go about proving it?

I played quite a bit yesterday (I have UAV jammer and silenced weapons) - just ask Kyubi! :) Yet there was one guy who kept on taking me out behind walls - CONSISTENTLY. If it happened once or twice I could understand, but 4, 5, 6 times in one round??? That is a bit off IMHO....

Advice?

Spectate the relevant player in question and record a demo while you are doing it. Depending on which servers you played, you'll then need to submit the evidence to the relevant parties and let them handle it from there. :)
 
if its definitely through a wall them take a screen shot or video of the kill replay. Some guys though have some serious reflexes, i would know since i play quite a bit on the lan

Yea. Taking a video with be best. You can report it to SAIX. If you're using UAV Jammer and Dead its most likely he does not know where you are.

Was he facing another direction and turn around and shot you through a wall? Was he using a LMG?

You will have a better idea the next time and you will definitely know if the guy is hacking.


To Record a demo type this in console: "/record demoname"
To stop the record type this in console: "/stoprecord"
 
That site is ****ing lame. Oaks using that kinda **** should be strung up and beaten :mad: :mad: :mad:
 
I don't see how anyone could possible have fun playing Call of Duty this way.....
 
Kyubi, he was using a G3. Didn't really swing around and take a shot, but he basically killed me with a head shot through a wall. AND there is no way he could have known I was there.

It really gets to me... Oh well it makes spawn raping them so much easier if they do crap like that!
 
Was he random shooting in replay or was one clean shot to the head through the wall?
 
The fun aspect of cheating (And notice I use the terms "cheat", not hack!) is the same as stealing apples from the neighbours next door. Just pure thrill of doing something you should not be doing. Also, alot of cheaters start using because they are not that good and want to get back at people. It usually ends up in a habbit.

But, I must also state that 80% of cheat complaints a server admin gets are false accusations. Player X just cant believe that Player Y is better and therefore it HAS to be a cheat. Thats why game server providers are addiment on proof, like a video or screenshot (Which is at best a flawed method of hack detection anyway)
 
There's a small chance it was luck, but his most likely hacking. Get a vid of him.
 
as soon as i see him online again i am going to make a nice movie of him... Even if I have to spectate all day....
 
You have unlocked weapons so youve done the campaigns - remember the bits where you have to kill the machine gunners by shooting them through the wall with your sniper rifle ?
 
It's a hacker dude, it CAN'T be someone that plays this well. Not in his lifetime! </sarcasm>
 
Guys, like I mentioned. I could understand if he was wall spamming and i walked into it. But to give me a headshot where I was crouching behind a wall is a bit far fetched...

I am not saying he is not good, just the way he took people out through walls when there is not possible way for him to have known they were there was a bit suspect.

I do know his IGN Kyubi, but I first want to confirm before I sully his name...
