Hazy instrument cluster

Try some tooth paste on a wet cloth on one section. That will tell you if it can be polished out.

What is causing it?
Is it perhaps some moisture from over enthusiastic cleaning that has got behind the panel causing it to fog up?

I think it's whatever cleaner they used, or maybe a contaminated rag.

EDIT - on closer inspection maybe it is moisture.

If it's moisture it should clear up completely once it dries out.
I would avoid that car wash in future.

I had the same problem, went to fancy place. they used some acetone or cleaner than reacts with the plastic.
not moisture - i waited a week for it to 'dry out', never happened, but then didn't get a chance to go to the car wash to complain.
the only thing is that the didn't mess the whole instrument cluster up as they realized a 3rd of way in that they were making the plastic opaque.

Furniture polish and a good scrub with a microfibre cloth, just clean it first with some sunlight in water.

I'm going to hit it with a hairdryer tomorrow and see what happens.

Was it this carwash?

I'm hoping the heat helps. Otherwise I've got that Novus Acrylic Scratch stuff on order with amazon. I can always cancel the order or just return it.

UHMM Take it back so the carwash sort our their mess?
Why didn't I think of that...

but between proving they're at fault and the tension it will cause within the family it's not worth it.

Furniture polish was the second thing I tried after my trusty Woosh cleaner.
