HD channels on DSTV no longer HD?!

What is up lately with the quality of some of the supposed "HD" channels?!

M-Net Edge, Premiere, Comedy, Family, Action Plus, Romance and Showcase are all supposed to be HD channels but over the last week or two I noticed that the quality on all of these has become pure 5h1t! 720p (1080i) my arse!

There's a night and day difference in quality between the above-mentioned channels and the official M-Net HD channel.

Surely I can't be the only one who's noticed this?
 
Even some of the programmes on M-net (101) are very grainy as well. Last weeks' "The Blacklist" was really bad. And isn't my installation. The Subaru advertisements during the show is in perfect HD quality.

Do they compress the content themselves before broadcast or does the studios do it for them?

The solution is simple drop DSTV - 720p pfft try 1600p and up so nice.
