I have noticed some serious ghosting on the HD DSTV channel whenever most of the screen is dark and you have smaller light parts moving around. First time I saw this was with some mediocre horror movie where obviously screens are mostly dark with only the characters faces lit up. Saw it again last night during the Bourne movie.

Now, apart from the fact that this is most irritating, I'm curious as to what might be causing it. When I run the TV in PC input mode and output 1024x768 to it(VGA cable) whilst streaming content with fast changing colors/backgrounds I dont get the ghosting, it only seems to show up on the HD channel.

Anyone else experience something similar? Any suggestions on solutions?

TV is Sony bravia 40KLV -400.

a degree of ghosting happens on any huge-ass LCD screen, bravia or not.

it doesn't happen very often though...

agreed, but this is serious ghosting. to the point where soem faces look 'syrupy' as theyre dragged across the screen.

Also, why only on the HD channel?
