HD DVD is absolete, the technology was abandoned by Toshiba.

I would rather recommend you look at Blu-ray.

You can not get HD from a DVD, you need at least Blue-Ray

You wont find any HD-DVDs to play on it, so why would you want to buy it?

Get a PS3, its the best BR player on the market and you can play games if you bored! And it has a built in HDD!

Cool, from the responses i would assume that my quest for viewing HD content on my LCD from DVD is pointless. Will wait for a good deal on the PS3.
