:confused:does anybody else notice the lip synch hitch when watching the HD channel? i know there is a function in the HDPVR menu that allows you to change the timing, but i still can't get it right...

Trust me, it does.. !!!!!! i go to a friends house and he can't even spot it !! i only watch the HD channel for sport now... no lip synch problems there... Cricket is stunning in HD...

I also have problems with lip synch. The HD-PVR can apply a delay, but it goes the wrong way. I can;t remember which wy round it is, but for instance, if the picture comes before the sound, with th eHD-PVR you can only delay the sound further instead of delaying the picture. It is really annoying.

I also noticed that, it just made it worse. I adjusted mine on my sound system

i can also do that, but if you change it whenever you switch channel, thats gonna be a royal pain in the ass too !!! there has to be a better way... DSTV must know about it surely....

Know exactly what you mean...sometimes a channel up - down works. Old decoder though...and not HD PVR, sorry. My wife never notices these "glitches"...when I point them out...she gets pissed off...cos then she cant stop noticing them! I dont get how ppl cant notice them? To me they are so obvious...

Yep, I have noticed it during Fringe and the Mentalist. Really annoying.

Got the HD PVR on Sat...well, have noticed all these bugs mentioned about it. Doesnt bother me too much though. Noticed the lip sync problem...but wasnt on HD channel. Did up down channel...still no improvement. Hit reset...and it was sorted.

Man I hope the latest update comes out soon

i also noticed over the weekend that whenever i pressed the channel up and down button, it moved twice !! even if i tried to type in the number it was like i was touching it twice... drove me to beer so it did...

WTF?? That happened to me too. I know its full of bugs...but didnt know about this one! Being new to HD PVR...I thought it was me doing something wrong. A reset seemed to fix it most times

Is anyone currently experiencing lip sync delays on Mnet HD on the surround sound audio feed?
This problem started on Thursday, and does not affect the other HD channels and other audio feeds.

Yup! It's VERY noticeable and extremely irritating. Still happening now.

I called multichoice, they denied anything is wrong on their side.
I checked my audio equipment, it's all fine. It's definitely something wrong with their surround sound feed, and looks like I'll need to make a proper complaint.

I'm hoping there's more than just you and I with this problem?

EDIT: Problem is related to a bug with the latest software update, http://forum.dstv.com/showthread.php?t=6852. multichoice needs to get themselves some QA.
