I'm new to the forum and have found posts very useful. I'm planning to install A SATCR LNB (meets my cable requirements) with two legacy ports (for future expansions) for my hd pvr 2p decoder. I have just a few questions to anyone who has a similar setup.

1. Is there any noticable processing speed differences between SATCR and dual LNB? i.e. GUI, guides/menus, initial scan, boot, upgrade. I will be purshasing the one by inverto.
2. Is the i-plate affected by using SATCR i.e. does it still show current playing, next and future programs as designed or is it reduced to two. (I'm hoping the first)
3. Is tuner status affected? From what I've read it, seems both tuners will have a status and info but need to confirm. (I will use the SATCR LNB 1 connection ofcourse connected to SATCR port on LNB.)

Thanks in advance.

1) there is a difference in speed of channel changes, the SATCR lnb has to tune to sub-bands using instructions from the decoder, wheeas the dual lnb only has to worry about H/V polarisation.

2)i-plate works shows all three, when changing channels or browsing, the first two show almost immediately, the third sometime takes a second or two.

3)tuners show 98%,pretty much all the time, I've only ever seen the signal quality drop...

hope that helps

Thank you. That does help.

So in terms of functionality, theres no differences and limitations. Still just a bit concerned about speed though - is it negligible or significant (few seconds)?

Best regards.
