hd pvr connections

hey guys,
not sure if I hooked my hd pvr up properly, ive got a 6 way multiswitch ... with 2 inputs for the lnb and 6 output ... which do I connect from the 6 out into the pvr ? left 2 and right 2 ? or the first 4 ? not sure how the 6 way splitter is supposed to work ?
I get signal, I can watch Super sport HD, but not the MNET HD or Discovery HD ?

All outputs are switchable. Does not matter which goes where. Try scanning it again, otherwise check if any other channels are missing.

I don't think a multswitch will work. You need a proper multiplexor for each of the 2 cables. Otherwise the DC signals from the decoder won't get to the LNB. A friend of mine had similar problems when he used a simple splitter on each cable. He bought multiplexors and it worked.

Just phone a DSTV store and ask.

A "multiplexor" is a multiswitch. Multiswitch is the correct term though. A splitter on each cable will definitely not work.

The multswitch I used is from Space tv with 2 input a nd 6 out as well and it works fine. I took 2 off either side to the HDPVR and one to the second decoder.
