Makro is selling it for R1799 including installation. That's decent right?
As in it would cost me the same or more to buy just the decoder at R1300 and purchase all the necessary components for a self upgrade?

It is, but just make sure what installation it is, it might be an upgrade installation from single view to HDPVR, so might not include the dish

It is an upgrade installation, but that's what I need

Just be careful of the installation vouchers, some installers use a 60cm dish instead of the 80cm dish.

I have a dish. I need the new lnb and wiring, splitters and whatever else goes with an upgrade from standard to pvr.
I guess my question is whether R500 is a good price for that hardware and installation.
