HD PVR to 1110 setup

i dont think so, you need a cable from the multi-switch which is fed straight from the dual lnb.

then you need a heartbeat cable for example from the rf in to the rf out and set it accordingly in the menu.

i assume this is extra-view?

yep, which pvr do you have and do you have a multi-switch?

got an hd pvr with a 1110
dont have any multiswitch set up, but ive got a box with one input and two outputs for the lnb

i havent gotten an installer in yet, was checking to see if i could do it myself for now..

best is to call an installer

but yeah basically dual lnb to 2 x 4 multiswitch (if using 2p pvr) then 2 outputs to the PVR. then one cable from the multi-switch to extraview decoder and one cable beteen rf in/out on the decoders as heart beat, then call to have setup done.

if it is the pvr with 4 inputs simply change 2x4 multi-switch to 2x 6

hdcabling.co.za seems a good bet for equipment.

what lnb you have? dual lnb?

also you have the 2p PVR?

ok got the multiswitch and everything works fine

but.....
the remote on the extraview decoder doesnt work?

it gets even weirder

the remote on the extraview works when you switch the tv off ?

any one else experience this?

p.s this work with and without heartbeat connected....

The TV is causing inference, you got a plasma?
Try put the decoder somewhere where its shielded a bit

Nope its an lcd.
Tried with the decoder on the floor as well as opposed to on the stand. No luck. I've got a plasma in the other room though....

Smurfatefrog is probably right, his advice normally is

The LCD must be causing interference hence when it is off it is fine.

Google "LCD remote interference" & try some of the solutions suggested

After extensive error checking found that one of the cables was faulty.... Sorted now....
