So I currently have a SD PVR as my main decoder which is downstairs. I want to install an HD decoder upstairs as an Xtraview but I also want to be able to watch the HD channel in the 2 other rooms up stairs. The rooms are all right next to each other and from the TV where the xtraview will be to the 3rd TV is about 9m dead straight (This is through walls dead straight horizontally) What are my best options to get this set up right. There are aircon ducts in the roof which I might be able to run wire through but what am I looking at in terms of equipment, wiring and if possible the work that might need to be done. Will this work satisfactorily? Is there a better option?

First thing you need to consider is that the HDPVR will need 3 cables running to it. Two from the dish & one from the SDPVR, or 3 from the SDPVR area. Consider the dish location & how this will work best
When you say HD channel to other TVs are you wanting it in HD or SD?

Preferably in HD. It will probably work best with one from the SD PVR and 2 from the dish. Is there another solution? HD PVR running through a server perhaps? And then setting up through my LAN?

No, no and no.

Regarding the HD to the other TV's... you will need to use a 4-way HDMi over CAT6 splitter. Going to cost you a few R1K.
