...Radeon HD38x0, aka RV670XT, might be selling for as low as €199 or a few dollars more, which will certainly spell trouble for Nvidia...

This could mean that a similar performer to the 8800GT comes in at a lower price for those of us those do not have a "love" for certain brands

...8800 GT 256MB will have the same clocks, just less memory and obviously, in most cases, will be just as fast as the 8800 GT 512MB...

With a 256Mb 8800GT comming in the $179 - $199 Price range that is basicaly the same as the 8600GTS :D

yea how ppl bought a 8600gts is beyond me

i hope ati comes out with something thats cheaper than 8800gt :) would mean nvidia must drop their pricing 2

Umm thats a good thing, its all about competition. If you have the best product then you sell the most of that product.
Or would you rather use the inferiour product for a similar price?

Well from what I red the HD3000 will be about 10 - 20% less in peformance, depending on the model, heck thats like a deal if they are cheaper!!

I dunno hey, I have always had nvidia.
Its kinda like changing from AMD to Intel tho i recon.
I used to be AMD only but my next pc will prolly be a quad intel so mebe its worth looking at the ATI?

You know that AMD makes ATI right? :p
So more like, Intel to AMD then for you GPU,
and AMD to Intel for you CPU.
