Hey guys, i got a few busted pcs with 40gig harddrives for like ages...
It suddenly hit me that I should use it else it'll go to waste.

Any idea where I can get those hdd casing/enclosure whatever u call them to make them into an external drive?
Its not really that important so dont feel like spending too much on it, the pc shops i went to look at were like R400...i can get a normal external drive for that price and half the weight..

Any input appreciated...I live in JHB west ;)

Thanx

Damnit out of stock :(

Anymore anyone?
Search around - there are a number of fairly recent threads about [searchforum]external harddrives[/searchforum]. :)

ngrcomputers has it, dunno if it's in stock, but rather wait for ssb.

IDEA: why doesn't ssb become the official hardware supplier to us forumites? It's easier than having to hunt for all the stuff we want on the net.

Because i cant provide everything there is on the market. If we have learned anything from the existence of MyADSL, its that competition is good...

Love the sentiment though. :D

;) Well Nameite you'll be happy with a Nexstar, I have the 2.5" version and it takes some punishment being lugged around in my bag. Had it for 2 years or so and not one problem at all....

I can get THIS combo for R1470

Regarding HDD enclosure:
I can get THESE for R275.
Oooooh I'm gonna have to ask the folks first but thats very tempting. I'm in serious need of a keyboard and mouse upgrade.

ssb have you used that keyboard in person, if so are the keys quiet when you type? /stupid q I know but it's important for me ;)

Also, my friend has that enclosure and it's great, bit heavy compared to my pocket size 2.5" enclosure :D

I have a dinovo, the keys are MUCH quieter than om a regular keyboard. It's even quieter than my MX3100 Logitech elite keyboard.
