I have a data Hdd in my puter with a fresh XP install.
The data is purely data, no operating system on it.
I am incessantly being reminded by XP that the disc is full and would I like to clean it and create more space.. AAARGH!!!!!!!!!
I know its full ! I filled it and am happy with it like that.

Anybody tell me how to disable this very annoying XP feature for this disc or even all the discs?? PLEASE ?

1. Start regedit. (If you are unfamiliar with regedit, please refer to this FAQ)

2. Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

3. Create a new DWORD value and name it NoLowDiskSpaceChecks

4. Right-click on this newly created value and click on Modify

5. Enter 1 in the Value data field and click on OK

6. Close regedit and reboot your system

7. The low disk space messages should be gone.

The easy way is to not fill it entirely. For example I have a 120Gb drive filled to the max with only just over 100Mb free space. Only when less than a 100Mb becomes available it starts to complain about free space.

I dont know how large your drive is but maybe just keep a little free space. As you can see the small space you loose is so small compared to the space you fill up.

lol, no. Just saying if you're very lazy then you dont even have to type and manipulate poor little windows from it's old ways, lol
