ok so i told you guys about the slow down i get from bf 2 after around an 1 hour of playing it

i have so far check ram : fine
cpu fine
mb was swopped out last week fine
bought a pci sound blaster fine

the only thing i thought left to check was the hdd
so i turned off the pc and noticed the hdd where really really hot
even after 2 mins of being off they where still hot

so would it make sense this is why bf 2 would slow down and loose alot of frames ?

i played offline single player for 5 mins today and hdd went from 34 to 42 after 5 mins with 8 vs 8 will tell you the temp after 2 hours of 24 vs 24 tnite

should i take them back to rectron for being faulty or is this normal?

HDD do get hot, but they are made to work up to 150deg so it should be fine

150? You must be kidding! Seagate say 50-60C, and I would be wary of anything over 55C for extended periods of time.

Killadoob, get hold of Speedfan - it can show HDD temps.

i got another proggie both are runnin at 44 idle

i think they both get well into 60's when im play bf 2 but i will see tnite

yea when i play bf 2 the game slows down so much its almost unplayble

My hard drive does nothing while i'm playing BF2 [After loading the map and verifying client data].
Something's shagged there bru.

If you delete your windows swap file - set it to 0 size and reboot, can you still play or does it run out of memory ?
