Hi Guys

I just bought a WD Green 240GB SSD and I want to copy everything from my current Hard Drive to the SSD.

I basically want to make a clone of the HDD with the OS, programs and files.

Please can you advise me on the best way to do that.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure that your HDD is smaller than the capacity off the SSD you want to clone to.

The SSD did not come with a sata cable, so I need to buy one.

Can I buy any cheap cable or do I need a specific one?

I wish to upgrade my old Lenovo T420 hdd. It has windows 7 professional. Other than the above mentioned bigger ssd drive, Clonezilla and backing up, is there anything else I should consider, be aware of?

SSD's and hard drives never come with cables. Your motherboard or PC should have come with a few, but any SATA cable will do.
