HDMI extender questions

Thanks,
Replacement extender will either be a 40 or 50M unit (depending on stock) and actual length is prob a few meters short of 30 so in that regard, I'm good.
At one stage I had tried all the options - hdmi extenders, the ip versions, the wifi/wireless versions etc. when i had DSTV I ended up using a sling device to place shift the decoder and it had a Roku app so just had Rokus on each tv which worked great. These days i just have Plex, Rokus on all TVs and dumped DSTV.

Hi guys,

I'm now on my third set of HDMI extenders (due to lighting strikes).
I've tried the il cheapo brands which were just terrible and now know that the Lenkeng ones work well.

I don't want to go ahead and spend more money on another pair without some input from others as to what would be best practice to prevent future failures (if possible).

Currently have a CAT6 cable running between my rack and the kitchen - each HDMI unit is independently powered.

Is it worth buying another pair of Lenkeng extenders and putting in an Ethernet Surge Protector such as this?

or would it be better to buy an Optical HDMI extender such as this with a made up fibre cable like this?

The run is about 20/25M

Thanks for the assistance in advance :)
Have you tried HDMI over Coax modulator? I know it sounds old school, but started installing these for clients who had multiple screens back in the day (HDMI over ethernet units break at the slightest hint of esd), and I've personally had two x 4 way units in operation in two locations now for about 6 years without issue (besides the occasional sync delay which is fixed with a reboot of the unit). Basically any 1080p feed can be distributed to as many screens as you want.

A lot more resistant to lightning, easy to extend a single feed to as many screens as you want, wiring is dead easy (buy some good coax) and every TV has a built in DVB-T tuner these days. Added joy if you're wanting this for DSTV is cheap remote control solution and some models have remote passthrough for other applications (eg. receivers, NVRs etc).

These are pretty cool. Does it handle HDCP?
