Hey guys

I'm moving from a bachelor flat to a 2 bedroom place. I plan to have my pc in the one bedroom and my tv in a room directly adjacent to it. However there are built in cupboards and a wall in between.

Besides drilling a hole in the wall, are there any options to send a feed from my pc to the tv? I've seen a few wireless HDMI solutions, but these sound quite iffy and are typically expensive.

If I am going to send it through the wall, I suppose it would be best to do it with a CAT5 extender setup so that I can repair it without it being too noticeable?

Any suggestions otherwise?

Very cheap at Builders Warehouse, glue it on with "No Nails". Looks neat too.

I would try go through cupboard. If you can, see if you can take the bottom out of the cupboard so the cable can be hidden all the way through. You're going to need a really long drill bit if its a double wall! Personally don't like trunking, and where are you going to trunk it to? The roof?

I've done this many times. I just bought a drill bit big enough to fit the HDMI head through. Once it's through you can fill the excess hole with white silicon.
Glue the cable into a hidden corner (and paint over it if you want). Put cables or trunking back in place and Bob's your uncle.

+1 for drilling though the wall - worked well for my setup between the study and the lounge - got HDMI and LAN to the TV and HTPC by drilling in line with the electrical cables from the back of a plug cover - if I recall correctly I used either a 12mm or a 20mm bit (think it was the 12mm long bit and the shorter 20mm bit to expand it.
If you ever need to fill it you can use a cement pack - good as new...
