HDMI to DVI

Hi I need some help here.

I have a 32" Sony KLV400 screen and a sony blyray standalone player. The PC has a FX5200 graphics card. I can connect the lcd to the PC via the vga cable.

However I cannot get the hdmi to dvi cable to work on the graphics card. The card does have a dvi connection.

Can anyone help? Do I need a new graphics card? Updated drivers etc??

Hey...

From what I understand, you should be having no issues at all. Unless there is some wierd issue with the HDCP side of things, but I really doubt that.

From what I understand your setup looks like this PC via DVI > DVI to HDMI cable > TV via HDMI input.

The signal from the DVI port is the same as received by HDMI, so there shouldnt be any issues. also, what resolution is set on your desktop? Maybe the issue is with that.
