Pooky, CNA's 1-hour photo lab managd to get some HDR out of one of my films - wasn't intentional and messed up the pictures though![]()
YeahCool, aren't the 400D and the Rebel XTi the same?
Dont know - never used the a100 because personally I would only buy a Sony product under extreme duress. I'm pretty sure Wynsam uses it so you could ask him for his impressions. How does it look in comparison to the Sony a100?
No and no.Is the bundled lens with the canon 400D good? Can one do macro with that?
The 18-55mm EF-S lens isnt all that bad and unless you're willing to spend a bit of money the wide-angle is going to come in handy at times . . . but its not a macro lens.Is the bundled lens with the canon 400D good? Can one do macro with that?
My Sigma 18-300 has a pretty decent macro and it was reasonably priced. As for HDR budget for photomatix - there are various discounts floating around that will save you a few $'s.Problem is I've only got around R8500.00 and I want to do Macro and HDR.

Which prosumer camera have you been using? In between. Been using a prosumer cam for ages, at some stage I need to move to DSLR, keep meaning too, but never do. This might be the year.
The Nikon D80 has always been my favourite over the Canon 400D, it felt better to hold. But now the 40D is out and priced similiar to the D80, I'm not sure.
