Hi all,

I discovered Machine Effects 2 HDR software which is available here: http://www.machineryhdr.com/effects2/index_e.php

The software is really simple to use and generates impressive, professional HDR results. The HDR image was generated by using [-3] [0] [+3] exposures (Nikon NEF/RAW from a D7100).

All the examples on the site seem to favour that surreal Sin City look. :o

Those HDR's are over engineered.

I prefer the more natural HDR look.

Same here. I use HDR when I shoot interiors and that surreal look doesn't fly with clients. They prefer something a little more subtle like this

Fortunately HDR, in the extreme, is usually just a stage most photographers eventually grow out of (unless you're stuck in customs), just like shooting everything at f/1.8 when you get a 50mm! :D

I’ve been using Machinery for a few months and I’m thrilled with the program. Lately I discovered that it automatically loads all new pics. I like the presets and that you can spot a good effect right away – without fiddling around with the settings.
They recently made big changes – and added support for NVIDIA which accelerated the program. There are a few shortcomings – there’s no masking effect and you have to switch to Photoshop for masking.
At this price, however, the software is unbeatable.

Version 2.9.48 is available for download.
