the time has come for me to do a serious upgrade!
i'm about to purchase a HD video camera which must have a 1394 port, i dont believe in usb2 for hdv its not a constant 480Mb/s stream - any suggestions on a hdv cam? any comments on the new hdv panasonics? i luv my gs400
the problem i think i'm gonna have is with the editing.
i use edius 4.5 for editing and sonic scenarist 4.1 for dvd authoring - its for semi pro dvd authoring.
i dont like really like adobe products, except photoshop.
my hardware may be a problem, i think my processor and mobo may be the problem? can someone offer some advice? i dont like intel, but if i must...
what i have is:
Software:
-----------
vista x64
edius 4.5
sonic scenarist 4.1
Hardware:
----------
amd xp 64 6000+
mobo - gigabyte m57sli4
4gig ram
2x hitachi ultrastar 147GB 15K [ RAID 0 ]
2x 8800gts 640MB sli
1x barracuda sata 2 500GB 7.2k
sound blaster xfi platinum
built in 1394
is this enough for HD EDITING?
i'd love to hear from other hdv edius users?
thanks
