So a moment of silence for my old headphones representing the finest in Logitech's outstanding quality. (No I did not sit on them) The red squares being around the failure points.

So time for a new pair and I'm looking for something that I can use with my Phone as well as my PC so it has to have a 3.5 mm audio jack. Needs to have good audio quality and build quality.

Price range is + - 1k

I've been looking at the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX22

Any advice or recommendations would be great and also anyone that has any experiences with Turtle Beach products?

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like these a lot. Would you say they have any major draw backs in any way?

None that I can think of tbh. I bought mine from takealot.com - they usually retail for about R900, but got them for R650 on special, and had them delivered to my door the same day for R50.

Rather save money and get Sennheiser and dedicated sound card. Gaming headsets are just not good at audio. And a general rule is to stay away from 5.1 headset as they tend to have smaller drivers in them and the smaller they are the weaker they are. I'm not saying to go for same as I have but all I can say is. With my Sound Blaster z and HD598 it will blow away any gaming headset even gaming headsets with dedicated amps and so on compares to my sennheiser.

Go watch these 2 videos

So my point is just don't go Gaming headset. Rather buy something like Sennheiser or so also you can go to Head-fi.com once you have options and ask there as some of them know about audio
