What amount of wins do you guys usually get and what rewards?

From 8 wins I get +- these if I remember correctly

4 boxes containing these:

1 Book
170 coins
50 coins
1 Card

At the end of the day its always better to do an arena run than using 100 coins to buy a book. Even if u only get 1 win you'll always get a book. Sure it is 50 coins more than just buying the book, but its much more fun playing for it and the possibility is there to get more!

Sure there is some RNG, but I find it better than running into the influx of new ppl with the open beta with a bunch of Legendaries in their decks and making it painfully obvious with the plays they make that loads of card packs was bought.

Only played one arena, my first free one. Got to 3 wins, no losses. Then while playing my baby woke up and I had to forfeit a match, then the next match I was up against a really powerfully rolled deck and got wasted. Then I held off until a night that I could possibly get some time in. Started playing after the baby went down for the night, about to win with 2 turns left and my baby wakes up.... Teething is a bitch.

So I stopped playing arena for now. Got a couple hundred coins saved up and one day when I truly have some time I will spend them on Arena. I agree that spending coins on arena is far better than straight packs. 5 wins and you break even on 1 book and 55 gold guaranteed. The fact that you can get a guaranteed extra rare card is also pretty nice.

You don't need that many wins. Even if you lose them all you should still roughly break even.

Nah, it is about 5 to break even, on a guaranteed gold amount. 1 pack is worth 100 and 5 wins guarantees 55 coins.
3 is the minimum break even point on pure purchasable items. 1 pack, 25 gold plus either 25 gold or 25 dust. Plus a card. So if you get the gold then you have exactly 150 gold worth of items plus an extra card.
