Newly appointed Special Investigating Unit (SIU) head Advocate Willem Heath resigned from his post, the Justice Ministry confirmed on Thursday.

He was appointed to the position by President Jacob Zuma just two weeks ago.

Earlier, Heath accused former President Thabo Mbeki of meddling in Zuma and convicted fraudster Schabir Shaik’s trials in a scathing interview with City Press.

Basically shot his mouth off to the City Press claiming that Mbeki was out to get Zuma with the rape and corruption charges and that Shaik should never have been found guilty by Judge Nicholson... and by doing so, he nailed his but firmly in the pro Zuma uber alles camp.
