Hi guys.

I just moved into a new premises and need to get adsl asap.
What I want is, at least 2mbps line & uncapped account.
Will probably do the whole netflix and hulu buzz, is 2mbps fast enough?

So basically what costs am I looking at guys?

Just to add to it,you can cut costs slightly by using the Unotelly Promo,Remeber that telkom is generally double the first month.
I currently have a 2mbps line, everything works fine.My sister in law has a 2mbps line but shared with 2 other people, and that constantly buffers

Well don't you just look at the world through rose coloured glasses.

I was under the impression hulu, netflix ect is a once off cost.

I think you're thinking about Unotelly. To get the $4.95 price, you have to pay a year in advance. The other 2 are monthly expenses ;)

It's actually $3.99 per month if you pay per year.

Loaded question ....

Depends on your ISP shaping, line quality and exchange.

Suggest you read the ADSL ISP Discussion threads prior to making a final decision.

I have read quite a bit yesterday and one thing seems imminent, ''stay away from mweb'' lol.
I was thinking of maybe doing the afrihost 4mbps + line rental = R279 + telkom line rental R157 =R436 pm
Then if I add Unotelly, Netflix and Hulu = R650
Which doesn't seem bad for a 4mbps uncapped line.
Any thing I should know about Afrihost?

My other question is at home I have a ps3, and 3 tv's, would I be able to watch on all 3 tv's which ever is being streamed?
Excuse the ignorance but I'm not too clued up on Hulu, netflix and Unotelly, so not sure how it work exactly.
Bare in mind I have slightly older led tv's with no wifi capability, ethernet cables?

Short answer is NO - Netflix is not like DSTV or SABC so no sendign signals via RF
Your PS3 is fine for Netflix and Hulu but AFAIK there no way of getting the feed out of the PS3 to the rest of your tvs unless you buy and AV to RF converter.
My suggestion is you need to invest in 2 more Netflix / hulu capable media players. (from the way you describe your tv's make sure you get ones that have AV cables since i'm assuming you don't have HDMI ports?
I'm being really lazy here but suggest the WDTV PLAY (cause i managed to set that up in my sleep and it was cheap) you can then connect that to your network via wifi - but since you have 3 i recommend running network cables.
Also if you want to watch 3 streams at once a 2MB might not be the best option. A standard Netflix subscription allows 2 streams at once (for more stream the cost is more)
Since you a noob just get netflix first then once settled get Hulu (but chances are you wont need it)

786 I assume you muslim :D

Yes I am muslim lol.
My tv's does have HDMI inputs.
I was thinking of doing one stream and splitting the signal/picture to the tv's.

then SLMZ :D
then you need to get one of those AV to RF thingies (not sure if works with Ps3) or HDMI to CAT 5 jobbies (thats a bit expensive though)
And kind of stupid if you all watching the same thing to be in different rooms.

Wslmz ;)
You see in our house we watch in the lounge during the day at night in the bedrooms.

makes sense but you will need to control the Ps3 from the bedroom some how (not sure if the Remote can do it that far.

Can i be honest it will be much cheaper and easier just to buy a media player for your bedroom then to just split the signal from the PS3. and since you already have a Ps3 it saves you a bit of cost. (check out the WDTV play at takealot.com for R830 or the WD TV LIVE theer are other like Roku or chrome cast but for beginers i think this is easy) so say the Ps3 in the lounge and the media player in yor bedroom (that one is seriosly small) it has wifi so you dont have to worry about network cables (but if you want to you can use them) - or you could consider chromecast - thouhj im not too fimilar how that would work

But the first thing you should do is actually get your ADSL installed and netflix running on your Ps3 before investing any cash in everything else.
