HELLDIVERS 2

Ye, the game is fun and all but gets tiresome after a while.

Then, theres this new trend where one player will kill everyone just before the extraction happens. This is going get as toxic as COD pretty soon.

In 81hrs of play I haven't had a toxic experience yet, guess I'm lucky. There are some idiots that don't know the resources you collect are shared, then they go around killing people for them.

I also see complaints from other folk regarding ******* behaviour which makes me think a lot of that toxicity comes from PC players, my cross play is turned off and I've been having loads of fun with randoms tbh.

and I see new players joining everyday, not a very good impression.

If you are group leader you can still kick that player off though.

I'm enjoying it so far with a 3man group, pugging spot 4 when someone randomly joins.

More content should be in the works as the mission variety is quite limited, but it's fun for a 2hrs stint a few times a week.
The music is epic and they nailed the vibe as you head into the action.
Overall, not too bad.

Haven't found latency to be a big issue.

am I right in saying that there is no actual campaign to this game? Essentially it appears to be a never-ending war with the bots and the bugs and basically every mission you do contributes to progress in the war, and your own development. You use the outputs of that development to unlock new skills, and then develop some more? So I find it lacking in that regard in that it appears to ultimately be pointless and not have an end, but it has been a super fun way to explore and kick back after a long game. Playing on PC and I love the visuals and the easy teaming. Haven't had any toxic experiences yet. I should keep playing this for a while I reckon. Is there a clan feature as yet? I havent noticed one but that would make doing bigger events in a more co-ordinated way for perhaps rarer achievements fun.

The fight against Helldivers 2's Automaton horde just got easier: 2 new guns are here, including the long-rumored Heavy Machine Gun

Helldivers 2 just got two new heavy weapons for democratic soldiers to bring to the ongoing fight against the Automatons, spurred by a new Major Order to liberate Troost and head off the bots' "Reclamation." The LAS-99 Quasar Cannon and MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun are now available "for immediate battlefield distribution," as developer Arrowhead Game Studios announced via Twitter today.

Quite the cull.

Helldivers 2 is no longer purchasable in 177 countries where PSN is not available (but some are still available like Baltics). This game has now received 215,000 negative reviews.

Well-played, Sony /Sigh

Souring relations between the West and SA could also land SA on that list.

I am still surprised how some people are clueless with Democracy within this game's universe and its context. It is lost on many.
As long as the terrorists and aliens are dead, Democracy wins!

Ban Sony from SA, they can go be racist somewhere else. @Jan

Xbox and Valve have made a lot of investments in Africa through the years, servers, presence etc, these clowns have no business being here.

Wait till the EFF hears about this, lmao.

Sony : Ooh we'll be showing millions in PSN growth for our upcoming shareholders call.
PC gamers : Haha nope.

Phew, what a way to throw all that goodwill into the fire. :(
