This title has just gone budget and what I wanted to ask you chaps was, is it worth paying R99 for it? The reason I ask is because I've seen it get a lot of bad press, so I want some 'real world' opinions. I played the demo and didn't think it was that bad but who knows. So anyone that's played/playing it .... feedback please :D

Graphics look so $hitty... Can probably run on a Pentium 2 with 64mb GPU...

Not worth it!!!
 
Haven't played it myself & heard mixed stuff about it.

As far as I can tell the gamers who played through Diablo a second time will enjoy Hellgate.

I'll blow you if you do that. Even on a 256mb ATI 9600 it barely manages to run...

Boring repetative game. Not even worth R99
 
fsck, that bad huh ....... dammit, I need something to tide me over til the new Stalker.
 
it got a lot better with all the patches... it was retailed too soon.

The 2.0 looks amazing but when that gets to SP i dont know.

I know! I was being sarcastic....

But seriously my friend runs it on a celeron with a 128MB card if im not mistaken.
Without having to turn down any settings...

Hellgate was not the pinnacle of perfection it was meant to be, an RPG with too much of one thing and too little of another.
It was a massive flop IMO. I was a fan from the first screen shot, even paying the initial price of R300. Ridiculous now looking back. It was a feast for the eyes (if you could run it on high) but the story line and monsters were terrible. I truly expected more from the guys who made Diablo. Even with all the patches installed it was never that good...

And he plays it like: Shoot/stab/kick monster. Go make coffee. Shoot/stab/kick again, take sip of coffee, open newspaper at sports section. repeat shoot/stab/kick.

Personal experience. tried it with a 128mb geforce card...
 
Enjoyed it at first. Then got over it. Pulled out my old Diablo 2 and had much more fun :) Rather give the cash to Charity, or buy beer. . . Pretty much the same thing

LOL... You should see the said same friend play Gears Of War on his PC.
