This will cause an aspirin burn in the mouth which often just compounds the pain. Drink it like you do for any other pain, otherwise get some clove oil from the chemist and some cotton balls. Soak the pellet in the clove oil and bite on it.

Once again, please don't leave aspirin in the mouth to just dissolve against the tooth.

Aspirin burn

Tell that to people with heart disease, that takes half a disprin under the tong every day:whistling:

Why is "waynegohl" a spammer & how do you wake up a thread that is only 3 days old :wtf:
The spam post was removed ;)

Anyway this sounds suspiciously like a wisdom tooth problem. The OP probably had to have it removed. AFAIK they usually perform root canals on the adjacent tooth that the wisdom tooth grows into,

I'm guessing OP died either from pain or Jack Daniels by now...

Pro Tip: Its the temperature of the Jack that is relieving the pain not the alcohol, so iced water works too. ;)

+ 10000 points to you sir :D
Yeah it was my left upper wisdom that had gone infected. When i got there the dentist just said i had a moerse hole in it and we should just pluck it out.Now i recall the last time i had my right upper wisdom pulled and it hurt like hell. All the pulling, twisting, forcing and just sheer brutality that went on flashed back to me oh so quickly. And yes, before i knew it the dentist had jabbed me with 2 injections and began the OPERATION!!!! fook me. The tooth itself was kind of crumbling and had a semi cave in it,but the root and main tooth was still healthy. Well 15 minutes of pulling and plucking and the bugger finally came out .I would have done it 5 times over just to get that intense pain away. I had struvite kidney stones last year and recall some pain levels i had never felt before but the issue with toothaches and pain is that the receptors are just all in your face you know, so this pain was agonising  I just recall that night before having sat up the entire night with that bottle of Jack and swishing it around the . That is the only thing that gave me relief. I have a pack of Synap Forte which usually help ANY pain i'm in but the raging pain and abcess i was having just laughed those pills off! YOH... do not mess with tooth aches.yerrie.

This thread was the death of me. On Thursday, I think, after reading this thread I started suffering from toothache from a broken tooth in the back of my mouth. I could only find 1 panado in the house and that did ziltch. It was so bad that I was feeling ill and in so much pain I could not sleep. We found GR Toothache Drops which did not work. I also gargled with vinegar/salt and warm water. I think it was Friday morning when my wife said I must try a Voltaren tablet and after a few hours if pain I was surprised to see it work. The pain was gone for over 3 hours and when it came back I took another one and yes it worked. Yesterday we got panado and disprin and with 2 Voltaren it worked like magic. The swelling came up but the tooth was not sore at all. The pain stayed away for hours and in the early morning hours when I felt a slight throbbing i took the same dose of pills and there is no pain.

Root canals aren't that bad any more. They used to be something to really fear, but at the right dentist, you probably won't feel a lot of pain.
I beg to differ, had root canal 3 yrs ago, was the most excruciating pain I have ever had, well besides my lumbar puncture

Wayne if there is a swelling then you may have an abscess developing which can be quite bad. I would really consider it having looked at by someone before it develops into something worse.

@Marine: it honestly depends from person to person. Molar teeth tend to be Worse if there is infection present.

I do suspect an abscess. I had one on the left of my mouth and my face swelled up huge on that side I thought I was twins but it went away after a week.

It never just "goes away". It's probably still there breaking down bone waiting for a nice opportunity to kick your ass when your immune system takes a bit of a hammering again. I would honestly just go have it checked out Wayne. You don't want to be sorry later when it has progressed to something worse.

I'm in so much pain....since last night. I get these massive bursts of pain that intensifies over the span of about 40sec.....then it stays on that plato for another 5min before it slowly regresses to a more bearable state...

Every time my face goes blood red....literally heating up...sweating..and water just running from my eyes....
Sees dentist in 90min...can't wait
