Tricky question. You looking for a cheapie for the day 'cos motor racing helmets can get really, really expensive?
You'll find cheaper bike helmet options 'cos they don't need fire retardation, but a Snell rating is a good start (should also be DOT or ECE). For a one-off track day a bike helmet will do, more serious 'tho and you'll need to spend a bit more.

If you're doing the track day at Zwartkops, 1st Race is right there, or if you're watching your spend, perhaps drop into one of the Full Throttle stores.

EDIT: The best advice on brands I can give you is try them on. Some will fit better than others... Go with the best fit.

Its for phakisa - i dont mind spending up to + - R3000 for a decent quality helmet with a Snell 2015 rating

Some marshalls can be very picky as to what helmets you are allowed to wear on a track. The recommended helmets are those with double D-rings. The reason for this is in a crash you don't want your helmet to come off.
